Winter School District issued the following announcement on Sept. 20
Mrs. Strop's fifth graders who attended August summer school designed their very own lemonade stand. They wrote their vision down including details of what it would look like, who would work in it, when it would be open, who it would serve and estimated how many cups were needed. Math skills were used to double and quadruple the recipe, make change, and count money. Fifth graders voted on where the profits would go.
The Winter Warrior Lemonade stand became a reality which made $37.50. There was a donor who matched that! (and another donation upped the amount). The fifth grade proudly donated $80.60 to our Winter PTO. Thank you each and everyone who purchased the freshly squeezed, organic Winter Warrior Lemonade. The Winter Warrior PTO thanks those 5th graders for thinking of us and for their donation.
