FOIA Request to Town Of Grantsburg Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Northwoods Reporter have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
This request is in line with our mission to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public. Access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional. We eagerly await the response from the Town Of Grantsburg as this information will significantly contribute to our reporting efforts.
