There were 1,885 students enrolled in Hayward Community School District in the 2024-25 school year, 0.3% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 52.6% identified themselves as boys, 47.4% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 67.2% of the Hayward Community School District total enrollment.

Hayward Community School District covers six schools within Sawyer County, with its main office in Hayward.

Among the six schools in the district, Hayward High School recorded the highest enrollment of 522 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin had a student-to-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 in 2025, lower than the national average of 16-to-1, according to Public School Review.
