Ladysmith School District welcomed 727 students in 2024-25 school year

There were 727 students enrolled in Ladysmith School District in the 2024-25 school year, 2.9% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 52% identified themselves as boys, 48% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 88% of the Ladysmith School District total enrollment.

Ladysmith School District covers three schools within Rusk County, with its main office in Ladysmith.

Among the three schools in the district, Ladysmith Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 328 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin had a student-to-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 in 2025, lower than the national average of 16-to-1, according to Public School Review.
