FOIA Request to Village of Prairie Farm Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
We at Northwoods Reporter, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe it is essential to have access to such public records. This information will enable us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include reporting accurate information to the public and holding public institutions accountable.
Given our role in disseminating information as a media organization, we have requested a fee waiver for this service. We await the response from the Village of Prairie Farm regarding this request.
