FOIA Request to Town of True Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024. As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at Northwoods Reporter have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.

As journalists, we are deeply invested in the dissemination of accurate and comprehensive news coverage. Access to public records such as these is vital for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and providing the necessary transparency that allows the public to stay informed about their local government's activities.

We believe that as media professionals involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver for this request. We eagerly await the Town of True's response and look forward to sharing this information with our readership.

As always, we remain open to any questions or clarifications needed regarding this request.
