There were 6,126 students enrolled in Polk County school districts in the 2024-25 school year, 2.7% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

The county's data showed that 10th grade had the largest enrollment, with 553 students, while kindergarten saw the smallest, with 340 students.

Countywide, Osceola School District welcomed the most students during the 2024-25 school year.

The main offices of all districts mentioned in the article are located in cities associated with Polk County.

According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) 2024 Mathematics Snapshot Report for Wisconsin Grade 8, there remains a significant achievement gap between ethnic groups in Wisconsin. White students outperformed Black students by an average of 50 points, and Hispanic students scored on average 32 points lower than their white peers.
