Of the 565 people living in Chief Lake in 2019, 49.7 percent (281) were women and 50.3 percent (284) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Northwoods Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 147-to-117. In the 65 and over age range, there were 53 females and 53 males.
