Of the 800 people living in Balsam Lake in 2019, 40.5 percent (324) were women and 59.5 percent (476) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Northwoods Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 360-to-156. In the 65 and over age range, there were 119 females and 55 males.
