Of the 2,466 people living in Hayward in 2020, 47.4 percent (1,168) were women and 52.6 percent (1,298) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Northwoods Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 175. In the 65 and over age range, there were 285 females and 164 males.
