Of the 510 people living in Chief Lake in 2020, 42.7 percent (218) were women and 57.3 percent (292) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Northwoods Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 66. In the 65 and over age range, there were 42 females and 42 males.
