About this event

This effort is associated with North Dakota's State Disaster Response Grant, funded by the federal Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), administered through the North Dakota Department of Human Services.

**A minimum of 4 people is required to hold this course, and registration is capped at 15**

Date & time: Sunday, July 10, 1pm to 3:30pm CT (via Zoom)

Now, more than ever, it is important to understand how to effectively identify, address, and respond to mental health and substance use concerns, and this course is designed to teach you important skills to do just that!

The first 90 minutes of this course will focus on mental health and well-being. You will learn about variables impacting mental health and effective ways to support others.

After a short break, we will then train you in QPR, and successful completion of this course results in you being QPR certified. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. It is the most widely taught gatekeeper training in the world.

Instructor

Your instructor for this course will be Kathryn Lang who is a Certified QPR instructor who has knowledge of the mental health landscape.
