Description:
Join us for a week-long class on Lake Superior to learn the basics of sailing, including rigging, terminology, points of sail, boat handling, knot tying, and general seamanship. Our instructors ensure each student is challenged, regardless of ability or experience, in a fun, safe and encouraging environment. We celebrate the week of fun and learning with a potluck picnic lunch, preceded by a sail-by to show off new skills. Parents and pirate costumes are encouraged on these days! All 2022 classes are at West End Park in Washburn, WI on beautiful Chequamegon Bay. Youth Class Prices Resident - $75 Non-Resident - $149 A sailor is considered a resident if their primary residence/school is in Ashland, Bayfield, Gogebic or Iron County. Program fees for residents are subsidized by the generosity of our donors and supporters - thank you!
