A Haiku Death Battle is a literary fight to the death. Using only original haikus, 16 participants will battle it out to see who will be crowned the Chequamegon Bay’s Haiku Master! Come help us support S.P.A.R.K. which provides after school and summer programming for tweens and teens. Yes, the premise of competitive poetry is a RIDICULOUS concept! The framework is just a silly gimmick to create some buzz and a rowdy good time for the poets, randomly selected judges, and audience members alike. Most importantly, this will be an excellent opportunity to build community amongst poetry loving, big-hearted folks here in the Chequamegon Bay and beyond. https://www.facebook.com/events/365248989008765/
