Census Bureau: 79.4% of people in Rusk County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 14,182 citizens living in Rusk County in 2021, 79.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 11,253 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 5,720 were male, constituting 50.8%, and 5,533 were female, making up 49.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Rusk County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78%.
