2.9% of Barron County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Barron County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 670 people out of the 46,529 living in Barron County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Barron County has remained fairly stable compared to the 2.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Barron County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 22,554 people who had a job during that time, 10 were employed in the Armed Forces and 22,544 belonged to the civilian labor force.
