The Joint Finance Committee has announced its schedule for public hearings to gather input from Wisconsin residents on the 2025-27 state budget. Senator Romaine Quinn, a member of the committee, shared details of the upcoming events.
The hearings are set to take place at four locations across the state. The first will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at Kaukauna High School. This will be followed by a session at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center in West Allis on Friday, April 4. Hayward High School will host a hearing on Monday, April 28, and Northcentral Technical College in Wausau will conclude the series on Tuesday, April 29.
Each hearing is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. Attendees wishing to testify must fill out a form upon arrival to join the queue.
Senator Quinn expressed his anticipation for these sessions: “As a new member of the committee I am looking forward to hearing from Wisconsin residents across the state about which issues are important to them.” He also highlighted the importance of holding a meeting in Hayward: “I am especially proud that the committee will meet in Hayward so that residents in Northwestern Wisconsin will have an opportunity to voice their priorities in the state budget.”
For those unable to attend in person, input can still be provided through an online platform or via email.
