Spooner Health has been recognized as a 2024 Human Experience (HX) Pinnacle of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey, a global leader in healthcare experience solutions. This award highlights Spooner Health's performance in patient experience, ranking it among the top 5% of healthcare providers for employee experience over at least two consecutive years.

Patrick T. Ryan, CEO and Chairman at Press Ganey, stated, "Spooner Health demonstrates the transformative power of committing to patient-centered care and positive employee experiences that drive effective clinical outcomes." He added that Spooner Health is setting a new standard for healthcare excellence by prioritizing human experience.

Since 2008, Spooner Health has pursued a "Commitment to Excellence," starting with hiring The Studer Group (now Huron), leading to significant cultural changes within the organization. This effort has made Spooner Health one of the top employers nationwide for Employee Experience.

Alongside the Pinnacle of Excellence Award, Spooner Health also received the Guardian of Excellence Award for Employee Experience. Only nine healthcare organizations across the United States received this prestigious Pinnacle of Excellence Award this year. It underscores Spooner Health's commitment to fostering a supportive work environment where employees feel valued and heard.

Cindy Rouzer, Human Resource Director for Spooner Health, expressed her satisfaction with achieving high levels of employee engagement: “Achieving the 99th percentile for employee engagement has been a humbling and thrilling experience. Everyone here has worked hard to become the best organization we can be for our patients, neighbors, colleagues, and community.”

Clint Miller, Chief Nursing Officer for Spooner Health, emphasized that engaged staff leads to better patient care: “Our patients at Spooner Health deserve the best care possible. While these awards certainly mean that our staff feels valued and enjoys their work, to me, the deeper impact is the effect that it has on patient care.”

Spooner Health operates as a 25-bed critical access hospital providing various services from emergency care to outpatient therapy. The institution prides itself on high organizational pride and workplace satisfaction.
