Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center's infusion and oncology department has been awarded the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award in patient experience for the third year running.

"This is a great achievement to be consistently ranking high year after year based on the satisfaction ratings from our patients," commented Aindrea Lindsey, Chief Clinical Officer at Hayward Medical Center. She highlighted the department's high satisfaction scores, which place them among the top 5% nationwide. Lindsey pointed out that these scores reflect the quality of care provided, which has been consistently recognized at a national level.

Presented annually by Press Ganey, the Guardian of Excellence Award honors hospitals and health systems excelling in patient experience, with feedback sought from every patient encounter. The institution strives to ease patients' stress and complexity during healthcare visits, allowing them to prioritize their health and well-being.

"Working in infusion and oncology is a special place for me," remarked Karyn Tiffany, a registered nurse who supervises the department. She acknowledged the challenges faced by patients and families dealing with cancer but appreciated the positive feedback from patients about the care provided by her team.

With over 75 combined years of experience, Tamarack Health's infusion and oncology team draws on each member's strengths to deliver a comprehensive patient experience. "We work as a team, always putting the patient first and acting as their advocate," Tiffany added.
