Graduates earn 118 degrees from Northland College

About 21.2 percent of the 118 degrees and certificates handed out by Northland College in 2017-18 were to students in natural resources and conservation programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Ashland conferred 25 bachelor's degrees in natural resources and conservation programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general biology/biological sciences. Data shows the school gave out 18 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences, followed by 13 bachelor's degrees in outdoor education and 12 bachelor's degrees in "other" natural resources and conservation.

The college enrolled 582 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
