As we get ready to vote in the 2020 election we have an important choice to make at the top of the ticket.
The choices for president have never been further apart on the issues and their vision for America. This contrast between the two candidates was solidified during last night’s debate victory for President Trump.
You know where President Trump stands! He does what he says he will do and doesn’t change his position depending on which way the political winds are blowing!
President Trump recognizes the importance of agriculture and has proven his willingness to listen and respond to the needs of farmers and rural communities.
President Trump understands how excessive government rules and regulations can hinder job creation and place burdensome costs on farmers and small businesses. That is why he took action to stop the proposed expansion of the federal government’s authority over defining and regulating the “Waters of the US” which would have created uncertainty and legal costs for farmers and landowners.
President Trump recognizes the importance of energy independence, which is why he forcefully exposed Joe Biden for wanting to ban fracking during the first debate, and the high cost of relying on unfriendly countries for our energy. That is why he has worked to make America energy independent. And he knows that farmers and businesses of all sizes need affordable and reliable energy. He will not put our economy at risk by supporting extreme measures like those being proposed in the disastrous Green New Deal.
President Trump understands the importance of fair and free trade and how our country has been on the losing end of trade deals like NAFTA -- the debate showcased how Joe Biden’s failed globalist trade record crushed American industries. That is why President Trump has stood firm in getting rid of unfair trade practices and protecting intellectual property when negotiating with China. In recognizing the hardship on farmers and to strengthen his bargaining position, Trump authorized $28 billion to farmers subjected to unfair trade practices. In addition, President Trump negotiated the USMCA, a new trade agreement with two of our largest trade partners, Canada and Mexico. The USMCA, along with new trade deals with Japan and South Korea, will open up new markets for dairy and other agricultural commodities.
And when the coronavirus hit our shores from China, President Trump provided additional funding to aid farmers, families and small businesses impacted by the pandemic.
These are just a few of the reasons I will be voting to re-elect President Trump. He deserves and needs our support. After watching the first debate I hope you join me in helping reelect President Donald J. Trump.
