Jazz Band hosts annual Valentine’s Swing Dance | Wikimedia Commons by Schlaier
Included with the price of admission, Keith Miernicki of Twin Ports Dance will offer swing dance lessons
The University of Wisconsin-Superior Jazz Band be playing plenty of sweet notes for its annual Valentine’s Swing Dance on Tuesday, February 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union - Great Room.
The evening will feature music from the classic era of big band with songs from Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie and Woody Herman. Included with the price of admission, Keith Miernicki of Twin Ports Dance will offer swing dance lessons between sets.
Having occurred for more than 10 years, the event has become a Valentine’s tradition in the Twin Ports.
The Yellowjacket Union is located at 1605 Catlin Ave. Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free for students.
