Grantsburg School District had the highest enrollment among Burnett County districts, welcoming 1,759 students during the 2022-23 academic year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 56.2% of them were girls, and 43.8% were boys.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 81.4% of the Grantsburg School District's total enrollment.

Among the three districts in Burnett County, Webster School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 646 students, while Siren School District welcomed 414 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Grantsburg School District roughly covers schools within Burnett County, with its main office in Grantsburg.

In the previous school year, Grantsburg School District also had the highest number of students among Burnett County districts.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 14 students in a Wisconsin classroom, compared to the national average of 1:16. AAA State of Play considered Wisconsin to have the 14th best teacher to student ratio in the U.S.
