Turtle Lake School District Education: 462 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 462 students enrolled in Turtle Lake School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4.1% more than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were girls, and 49% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 85.9% of the Turtle Lake School District total enrollment.

Turtle Lake School District covers four schools within Barron County, with its main office in Turtle Lake.

Among the four schools in the Turtle Lake School District, Turtle Lake Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 235 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 14 students in a Wisconsin classroom, compared to the national average of 1:16. AAA State of Play considered Wisconsin to have the 14th best teacher to student ratio in the U.S.
