The majority of students in Washburn County districts were white in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of the 2,097 students attending Washburn County district schools, 90.5% were white. Multiracial students were the second largest ethnic group within Washburn County's districts, making up 4.3% of the student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Washburn County districts, representing 89.5% of the student body.
