There were 1,784 students enrolled in Ashland School District in the 2024-25 school year, 0.6% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 52.3% identified themselves as boys, 47.7% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 68.1% of the Ashland School District total enrollment.

Ashland School District covers five schools within Ashland County, with its main office in Ashland.

Among the five schools in the district, Lake Superior Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 603 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin ranks 22nd in the U.S. for public education spending, with an annual expenditure of over $16,500 per pupil, totaling $13.8 billion per year.
